Kino Mediteran came to faraway Lastovo for the first time in the summer of 2013 as a three-day guest and returned the film program to the island after more than 30 years.
The excellent reactions of the audience, as well as the enthusiasm of our partners from the Dobre Dobričević NGO, led to the idea of jointly starting a program in the winter months, once a month. The winter screenings started in the fall of 2013, and this is where the special connection between the magical island of crystal stars and Kino Mediteran lies. After the success of Lastovo, we were encouraged and started winter screenings on other islands as well, and that's how Kino Mediteran grew from a traveling cinema into a year-round project of cinema revitalization.
In the winter months, screenings are held once a month, and during the summer season we show films outdoors, in the courtyard of the Braća Glumac Elementary School, three times a week.
Kino Mediteran Lastovo is held in partnership with the Dobre Dobričević NGO, with which we successfully obtained funds for technical equipment at the tender of the Ministry of Culture for investments, and with the patronage of the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Lastovo and the Municipality of Lastovo.

Box office sale starts 30 minutes before movie, or you can purcahse tickets online.
In case of cancellation of the screening due to bad weather you can request a refund at box office (ticket number is required) or at tickets@kinomediteran.hr (for tickets purchased online). In case of beeing late for the screening-refund is not possible. Thank you for your kind understanding!
